At JP&O Labs we have been providing orthotic intervention for children for over 19 years. We treat a wide variety of pathologies including Cerebral Palsy, Developmental Delay, and general weakness. Our bracing solutions help children with problems standing and walking by providing proper alignment, limit or encourage motion, reduce hypertonicity and increase stability. JP&O provides state-of-the art, custom-made orthopedic braces, or orthoses, to children with special orthopedic needs. We also house a custom fabrication lab in both our Jonesboro and Mountain Home facilities. Our orthotists are dedicated to providing children with the best possible treatment, conducting extensive evaluations and gait analysis as well as staying up to date with the latest technologies in the world of pediatric orthotics.

Children are referred to our facility from Physician groups of all types. In many cases we work in conjunction with local occupational or physical therapists throughout the region to provide patient care.

We create orthoses to help children with the challenges they face with their special orthopedic needs. Each orthosis is custom-fitted, with many being custom fabricated specifically for a child, often by using a cast mold to appropriately size the orthosis and reshape key areas based on the child’s individual needs. We provide all necessary equipment to children in need of orthotic treatment, including shoes to enhance the braces' effectiveness and to ensure a proper fit.

We monitor and adjust shoes and braces throughout the treatment process, ensuring that each child receives the best care possible. Depending on the child's specific needs, we may provide athletic shoes or hard-soled orthopedic shoes with attached bars.

Early Intervention is the KEY to helping correct certain conditions like fluctuations in tone, varus-valgus deformity, toe walking, developmental delay, and other pediatric orthotic management issues.

If you think your child might benefit from orthotic management, ask your doctor if JP&O can help.
